The pond
under the gigantic grevilleas is now full of colourful

and tropical water lilies, lotus flowers, equisetum and water
hyacinths, in perfect harmony with the precious plants such as
cardamom and heliconia that surround it.

An
old lava stone drinking trough has become a noisy fountain with
waterfalls on three sides, and the ruined old Arabian-style
irrigation channels once used to irrigate the citrus grove on
the site now run down the walls and run along the terraces to
culminate in a little waterfall above a white Comiso stone pond.
